Eligibility Requirements For Scholarships Offered Through
The Roanoke Valley Golf Hall of Fame
Any student completing this application and meeting the eligibility requirements listed below will be considered for the scholarships offered by The Roanoke Valley Golf Hall of Fame. An incomplete application will not be considered by the Scholarship Committee.
1. The applicant must qualify as a "student." A "student" includes any individual who will attend a four year or two year accredited college or university as an undergraduate.
2. The applicant's principal residence must be in the "Roanoke Valley." The "Roanoke Valley" is defined to include the Counties of Roanoke, Botetourt, Franklin, Montgomery and Bedford and the Cities of Roanoke and Salem.
3. The applicant need not be an avid golfer but should demonstrate an interest in golf.
4. The applicant must be willing to appear before the Scholarship Committee for a personal interview if such an interview is deemed necessary.
5. If the applicant is a graduating high school senior, the application must include a copy of the applicant's high school transcript with SAT scores. If the applicant is currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, the application must include a copy of the applicant's up-to-date college transcript showing grades and academic standing.
Without an up-to-date transcript, the application will not be considered.
6. The Roanoke Valley Golf Hall of Fame scholarship application must be received by the committee no later than April 15, 2009. Please mail the application to:
